Sculptural
Pottery
It is difficult to write about sculpture as a unit, as each piece has a
particular meaning. I did make a series of pieces, some are shown on the web
pages, relating to "men's issues". I did these pieces as a reaction to all of
the artwork I have seen and all of the material I have read relating to "women's
issues". I was not trying to make it a one or the other exclusion so much as
an inclusive for men too, that is a "all of us have issues statement". In the
final analysis when it comes to art, and pottery too, it is about how it effects
you. How does that piece of sculpture make you feel? It doesn't have to make
you feel good, but it should make you feel something profound, but perhaps not
given to words. And the more you know about art, sculpture, pottery, history,
process, the artist, the more you can get from a piece.
